Function to Calculate sum of a query colmn

I wrote a query which had a decimal column in it. i used to create a temporary field and loop over the query and find the total sum. I felt coldfusion should have function to directly get this value. As far as i know i don't think there is a single function which i can use to do this.

so i tried

arraysum(myquery.amount)

since myquery.amount is actually myquery.amount[currentrow] it dint work

so i tried

arraysum(valuelist(myquery.amount))

since its a list not an array i got error message
and finally i converted it to array and calculated the sum.
Here is my final expression

dollarformat(arraysum(listtoarray(valuelist(myquery.amount))))

Sony has finally come up with a product which can challenge kindle. I have seen the specs yes but from 3g i assume it has 3g wirless support.

I have been using kindle for the last 3 months now. I am very happy for now. few things i dont like about kindle is
1. it needs lighting ... if am reading at night it gets hard toread.
2. it needs touch screen . the keyboard are not that usefull.
3. i dont quiet understand why kindle cant have page numbers like a normal book. i dont understand what 1000-1007 means or 70%. i would rather have pagenumber.
4. a little too small may be dx would be a good size.
Other than these few issues i think it serves its purpose. I dont plan on buying a new one for a long time. May be in 2 or 3 years when i see how plastic logic reader .

Fixing your Server time

I got a call from my client saying the system is not updating records for 20 minutes. I initially thought it was a caching issue and soon realized my servers clock was off by 20 minutes.
Anyways here is what i did to fix it on one server
ntpdate -b pool.ntp.org
it worked perfectly on the public server but it failed on the private server.

so i went to my private server and did it manually using the following command

date 031816512009

it set the date to August 18th 2009 4:51 pm
Glad i was able to fix it.

terminal server has exceeded the maximum number of allowed connections

I keep maxing out my connections to my server and i have to ask my hosting guys to remove my sessions. Sometimes its my fault sometimes i get disconnected from Internet and i lose my remote sessions.

Anyways its not important how i max out how i fix it is

Start run mstsc -v:<> /f -console

Fix your wireless network key

I forgot my wireless connection key so had to reset it. Here are the steps
Go to your browser and type http://192.168.1.254 [this could change based on your router]
Goto Wirless Tab > Configure Wirless link
Key1 field is what you need to connect to your wireless network.

If this doesnt work the best thing to do other resetting your modem is contact the tech support

I have a samsung instinct with sprint.
My bandwidth was recoreded at 16 mbps which seemed way too high for my phone. So i checked it again it came at 15.04 mbps and dowload at 1.88 mb/sec. This means that i need to get myself a better phone which can make use of this amazing bandwith.

I checked out webmaster tools and added our website casetrackerlaw to the search engine. I belive everyone should start submitting their website so it will help with the rankings. Sooner or later bing will improve on its market share. Now is the good time to start working on your bing seo.

It certainly doesnt have the tools like analytics and webmaster which the google provides but i am not sure if micro should bother with having one. If i have my stats set with google i dont really have reason to switch to bing its too much work for not much benifit.

i just started using bing as my search engine. I like the look and feel of bing but not really satisfied with the search results. I plan to test out my search results on google and bing for the next few days and see the difference.
